Film Analysis

Hercules
The Ordinary World: This is the main confusing one for the Hero's journey model because the ordinary world at first was Mount Olympus but when he got kidnapped and put on earth he was adopted by human parents. During his childhood and teen hood he was a freak when it came to strength and he was judged for that.
The Call to Adventure: Hercules thinks he is a freak so he is depressed. So he asks his foster parents where does he belong. They show a medallion that has a symbol of that gods and they tell him that's what was on him when they found him. So he goes to the Temple of Zeus to find out "Where does he belong?" Then he finds out that he has the lineage of a god. And if he wants to return to Mount Olympus he must become a true hero.
Refusal of the Call: At first he doesn't believe all that he is hearing he is skeptical that he can actually become a hero. But Zeus convinces him to embark on becoming a true hero.
Meeting the Mentor: Hercules goes off to meet a long retired trainer named  Philoctetes and he convinces Phil to train him. So Phil teaches him how to become a hero by training him.
Crossing the Threshold: After Hercules training is complete he goes off to Thebes to become a hero.
Tests, Allies, Enemies: His first trial is fighting the centaur and saving a woman named "Megara." Then a new enemy arises because
The Ordeal: Hades realizes that Hercules is still alive. So he sets up Hercules to fight the "Hydra" and after a long hard battle he defeats the Hydra and becomes a celebrity hero.
Reward: Now that he is a celebrity hero he is accepted for his freakish abilities and is loved by the city of Thebes. During this time Hercules falls in love with the girl that he had previously saved. She also falls in love even though that her soul is sold to Hades and is one of his minion just trying to find his weakness.
The Road Back: He is still trying to become a true hero so he can go back to Olympus. While training Hades uses his weakness (Meg) against so he will give up his powers for a day. He accepts and Hades tries to take over Mount Olympus. Also during this time Hades releases the Titans and has one of them try to get Hercules while he doesn't have his demi-god abilities. But Hercules still tries to protect the city and he ends up defeating Cyclops with his wit.
The Resurrection: After defeating cyclops he is saved by Meg and she gets hit by a falling column which breaks the deal that meg won't get hurt. With getting his powers back he goes off to save Mount Olympus and saves them from the Titans. But by the time he gets back Meg is already dead. Angry Hercules rushes off to the Spirit World to try to save Meg. So he makes a deal with Hades to sell his soul so he could get Meg's back. But that is only if he survive while saving Meg's soul. But while saving Meg in the Spirit pool he becomes and true Hero and a full God.
Return with the Elixir: Hercules is now a true hero and he can return to Mount Olympus. But he decides that he has been in the ordinary world all along and decides to stay with Meg.
